Personal Information Protection - Our Philosophy

Logico operates the following business as its core:

Both the personal information that we collect from our customers through our business activities, as well as the personal information of our employees is very important to Logico. Protecting that personal information is something that we recognize as one of Logico’s important social responsibilities. Therefore, in accordance with the following policy, when we collect personal information from our customers and employees through our business activities, we fulfil our social responsibility towards them, bringing them peace of mind.

Basic Policy

  1. Use, provision and acquisition of personal information

    • We only acquire personal information through legal and fair means.
    • We use personal information only as far as its use is intended.
    • We only share personal information with a third party after having received consent from the customer or employee in question (hereafter, the individual).
    • We never use personal information for anything other than the purpose for which it was obtained.
    • If we need to use personal information for a different purpose, we gain consent of the individual before using it.
  2. Laws, guidelines and other norms established by the Japanese government

    • We always strive to fully understand the laws and regulations surrounding the handling of personal information. All Logico employees fully respect and uphold the law.
  3. Safe handling of personal information

    • We maintain and continue to build upon a system that ensures rapid corrective action in order to prevent risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, data leaks, loss or damage.
    • We take precautionary measures by carrying out checks, so that we can promptly correct any violations or accidents that we discover.
    • We thoroughly educate our employees regarding data security.
  4. Complaints and consultation

    • We take complaints and questions regarding personal information very seriously. We provide a personal information inquiry service, so that we can respond rapidly.
  5. Sustained and continuous improvement

    • The Logico personal information management system is set up to protect personal information. We monitor and audit internal regulations compliance. And we work so that management can review any violations, issues, accidents or weaknesses in the system. We are constantly striving to improve our personal information protection management system. This is reflected in the measures taken by management and by our internal rules.
    • With regard to continuous improvement, we comply with the relevant laws and regulations and with JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) Q 15001.

Disclosure request procedure

Below are listed the procedures for individuals or their proxies making any of the following requests to Logico (notification of purpose for use; disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content; stopping the use of or erasing of data; or blocking provision to a third party).

  1. Where to send disclosure requests

    Please send personal information disclosure requests by post along with required attachments. When sending us a request, please send it by recorded delivery or registered mail so that the delivery can be tracked. Please be sure to include “Personal Information Disclosure Request”

  2. Disclosure requests must be in writing

    When submitting a personal information disclosure request, please complete the form fully and send it by post.

  3. Confirmation of identity

    We will call to confirm the identity of the individual. However, in cases where identity cannot be confirmed over the phone, we may ask you to provide us with a copy of your driver’s license, residence information from the municipal office or health insurance card.

  4. Disclosure requests made by proxy

    In cases where an individual would like to delegate authority to make a personal information disclosure request to a proxy, please enclose the following:

    (1)A copy of documentation to confirm the identity of the proxy (one of the following: driver’s license, residence information from the municipal office or health insurance card)

    NOTE: Please ensure that your permanent address is included in the copy of the identification.

    (2)Power of attorney (from the individual with their seal and a copy of the official registration of the seal. In cases where the proxy is a legal representative such as a parent or guardian, it is possible to simply include documentation that proves this relationship instead of a power of attorney.)

  5. Fees related to disclosure requests

    There is a handling fee of 500 yen (including tax) for each personal information disclosure of purpose of use request.

    Please enclose a money order for 500 yen with the request.

    osts for postage of the request to Logico and the money order will be borne by the claimant.

    Please note that in cases where the money order is insufficient or is not enclosed, we will be unable to send the disclosure or notification of purpose of use.

  6. How we will respond

    We will respond in writing to the address of the claimant.

  7. Complaint resolution ? Independent accredited personal information protection organization

    In the event that you feel that Logico’s personal information management is insufficient, we ask that you first contact us. If we are unable to satisfactorily resolve your complaint, we suggest you then contact JIPDEC. JIPDEC is an independent accredited personal protection organization and can handle any complaints related to personal information management lodged by customers.
